Hello Stallions,
I am proud to be one of your Assistant Principals at Sunnymead Middle School. As I have conversed and interacted with staff, students, parents, and community members, I've learned about the passion for the students at Sunnymead. I look forward to serving the community here at Sunnymead and working toward our Vision of "Empowering the Sunnymead community to create a successful future for its students in a safe environment that demonstrates equity and excellence".
I have been with Moreno Valley Unified School district since 2005. Prior to arriving at Sunnymead Middle School as an Assistant Principal, I started as a Physical Education teacher at Mountain View Middle School. While there I had the opportunity to work as the PE Department Chair, AVID teacher and Coordinator, and PE Club Advisor. I took a leave of absence and served as a Military Police Officer in the United States Army. Upon my return from my military service, I worked at Landmark Middle School and taught Physical Education, served on the Leadership Team, was the Safety Committee Chairperson for four years, started a preparatory JROTC program, and was an Administrative Designee. I hold a Bachelor's of Science degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead, a Master of Science in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University, and an additional Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Azusa Pacific University.
I am excited to be working alongside Sunnymead's Principal Mr. Matthew Stewart, our other two Assistant Principals Brenda Nievas and Allen Long, and our Academic Administrator of Instructional Improvement and Academic Coaching (AAIIAC)-Ken Carson.

Estoy orgulloso de ser uno de sus Subdirectores en la Escuela Secundaria Sunnymead. A medida que conversé e interactué con el personal, los estudiantes, los padres y los miembros de la comunidad, aprendí sobre la pasión por los estudiantes de Sunnymead. Espero poder servir a la comunidad aquí en Sunnymead y trabajar hacia nuestra Visión de "Empoderar a la comunidad de Sunnymead para crear un futuro exitoso para sus estudiantes en un entorno seguro que demuestre equidad y excelencia".
He estado en el distrito escolar unificado de Moreno Valley desde 2005. Antes de llegar a la escuela secundaria Sunnymead como subdirectora, comencé como maestra de educación física en la escuela secundaria Mountain View. Mientras estuve allí, tuve la oportunidad de trabajar como presidente del departamento de educación física, maestro y coordinador de AVID y asesor del club de educación física. Tomé un permiso de ausencia y serví como Oficial de Policía Militar en el Ejército de los Estados Unidos. A mi regreso de mi servicio militar, trabajé en la Escuela Intermedia Landmark y enseñé Educación Física, serví en el Equipo de Liderazgo, fui el Presidente del Comité de Seguridad durante cuatro años, comencé un programa JROTC preparatorio y fui Designado Administrativo. Tengo una Licenciatura en Ciencias de la Universidad Estatal de Minnesota Moorhead, una Maestría en Ciencias en Educación Física de la Universidad Azusa Pacific y una Maestría adicional en Artes en Liderazgo Educativo de la Universidad Azusa Pacific.
